Wholesome Tales From Japan: Memorable Experiences by Foreign Residents
My contribution to this article on wholesome Japanese community interactions tells the story of an older gentleman who runs a local curry shop. He always went out of his way to include me in local events and even created a special version of his dishes just for me, tailored to my dietary needs. Because of this, he often teasingly called me "姫ちゃん," meaning "Princess."
